The Gates of Heck is the first event released for AdVenture Capitalist on October 28, 2015, and playable through November 2, 2015. It brought 10 new Halloween-themed businesses for players to invest in.
The gameplay is similar to Earth in that the businesses are neatly ordered in terms of cost, profit, and time between payouts. However, Gates of Heck is unique in that the scaling on some of the businesses makes Giant Lasers look like Red Dirt. This is balanced by a relatively small number of unlocks. Most businesses only have about 4 milestones.
Players who started the game within the first couple of days stood the chance to earn both Mega Bucks, as well as 4 unique player badges, the first of which is earned by buying the first business, and the last, by buying 55 of each business.

Angels[]
The angels in Gates of Heck work in the same way as they do on other planets, allowing you to reset the progress of your businesses to gain a multiplier during your next game cycle. In Gates of Heck, they appear as ghosts. The formula for the number of angels you accrue is the same as the formula used on Earth. That is:
Total Angel Investors (Current Angels + Angels Claimed with restart + Total Angels Sacrificed) = 150 * SQRT(LifetimeEarnings / 1 quadrillion (1E15) )
You will earn your first investor around $44.4 billion.
Like on other planets, because angels are accrued at a slower and slower rate based on lifetime earnings, it is possible to slow your progress through the game unalterably if you spend too many angels in a single game cycle.
Managers[]
There are only 10 managers in Gates of Heck who will run your businesses when you are offline. There are no managers that decrease price, show cash per second, or provide quick-buy buttons. All managers are paid in cash rather than angels.
Unlocks[]
There are a total of 51 unlocks. The costs of Gates of heck unlocks are in bold. The cost of The Root of All Evil 2018 edition unlocks are added for comparison. The costs of all Gates of heck unlocks are generally slightly cheaper than the Root of All Evil unlocks.
